1276: Proof of bactericidal efficacy

BS EN 1276 is the European standard for the bactericidal activity of chemical disinfectants. In order to pass this standard, products must prove a bacteria kill rate of 99.999% within 5 minutes.
Clover Chemicals Ltd offer nine disinfectants and sanitisers (see right), which have been tested to this rigorous standard.
Testing was carried out by an independent laboratory.

BS EN 13704: Proof of sporicidal efficacy

To ensure that a product is effective against Clostridium Difficile spores, check that it complies to BS EN 13704 (European standard for the sporicidal activity of chemical disinfectants).
