As
part of our corporate and social responsibility charter, we are a
member of Valpak and Repak producer recycling funds. |
|

| These
regulations work on the principle of shared producer responsibility
whereby all obligated organisations have to take responsibility for
their impact on the environment. The packaging supply chain is
divided up into four activities, and a percentage of the responsibility allocated to each different activity. |
|
Producer
Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations were
introduced in 1997, with the aim of reducing the amount of packaging
waste ending up in landfill. |
| Our
membership of Valpak and Repak ensures that we meet our
responsibility to the environment and to the public by contributing
to the cost of recycling the packaging which we supply to our
customers. |
